Warranty & Care
FOUR-YEAR WARRANTY
Northland Cabinets, Inc.(NCI) warrants to the original purchaser that all NCI products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Any parts or products which have been proven to NCI’s satisfaction as inferior will be repaired or replaced at NCI’s option for a period of four years from the original purchase date. In keeping with our policy of continuous product improvement, NCI reserves the right to change specifications in design and materials without notice and with no obligation to retrofit products NCI previously manufactured.
This warranty covers only parts and materials of the products manufactured by NCI. Not covered under this warranty are additional kitchen and bath products or the costs, including labor to remove and re-install materials and related components such as appliances, flooring, countertops, fixtures and like items.
Because of the varying natural characteristics of wood and the effects of aging, products shown in displays will not be an exact match to new cabinetry. Depending on wood characteristics, the age of the sample and the environment of the showroom samples will show some degree of variation from new products. All doors, drawer fronts, trim, and molding will not match exactly in either finish or grain. Variation in wood is normal and unavoidable.
Natural woods may vary in color, characteristics and may exhibit subtle changes as they age. For example, white painted products may eventually have visible cracking around the joint areas. Cabinet colors may change over time. Sunlight, smoke, household cleaners and other environmental conditions may affect the cabinet color over time. These variations are considered to be the nature of the material in relation to their environmental exposure and are not covered under this warranty.
Variations in humidity level cause wood and wood products to expand and contract. NCI recommends humidity regulation.
This warranty will not apply to NCI cabinets and products damaged by misuse, neglect, acts of God, exposure to moisture, alterations, improper installation, exposure to extreme temperatures, improper storage, improper handling or the effects of normal use. (Warranty Certificates PDF)

PROPER CARE
Kitchen cabinets, just like fine furniture, should be dusted or vacuumed periodically depending on the amount of particulate matter that may have accumulated. Always dust with a polish-moistened or damp cloth, as dry dusting may scratch the surface. It is also a good practice to follow the grain of wood when dusting - wiping across the grain could cause scratches to appear if the dust contains grit. Residues such as smoke, cooking vapors or body oils can be cleaned with a damp cloth with a small amount of furniture cleaner. Remember to use a clean soft cloth such as an old t-shirt, cheesecloth, dishtowel, flannel or chamois with no snaps or buttons that may scratch the surface.(Kitchen Cabinet Care and Cleaning tips PDF)
